Sustainability Practices
We all have a responsibility to our communities and to our planet to limit what goes into our landfills and dumps. The more we limit our waste and the environmental impact therein, the better it will be for ourselves and future generations. General Formulations endeavors to reduce its carbon footprint and is continually looking for new ways to reduce, reuse and recycle materials used in our operations.
General Formulations has taken it upon ourselves to examine every part of our manufacturing processes, with the end goal to reduce waste, reuse products and reclaim packaging material wherever possible. This translates in to less material going into landfills and reduced costs for us and our customers.
Current or ongoing recycling practices include the following products:
PAPER * END CAPS * SKIDS * END BOARDS * PLASTIC SHRINK WRAP * CARDBOARD CORES * METAL BANDING * VINYL
As an organization we are always finding ways to improve. Another such way that we do this is by reclaiming either materials or chemicals used in daily production. By working with local recycling companies, we arrange for items to be taken away in bulk to reclamation facilities. This includes barrels, totes, and solvent wash. Through these practices we have been able to reduce our waste by to 50%.
Current or ongoing reclamation practices include:
BARRELS * TOTES * SOLVENT WASH
Every business can make simple changes that can save on energy costs and natural resources. By doing these things General Formulations can help reduce waste and to keep our customers costs down.
